How to Change the Master Password on a Premium Metal Wireless Keypad
Overview
In this
article you will learn how to change the master password on a premium
metal wireless keypad. The master password is used to change the functions of
the keypad itself. The default master password is "11111". Changing this
will ensure the keypad's functions can't be accessed by someone who
knows the default master password. An example of this process will be
provided at the end of the article. If you hear a long beep during any
of these steps, an error has occurred and the process should be started
from the beginning.
Procedure
Enter the Current Master Password Then Press 8
Enter the New Master Password Then Press 8
The new master password must be 5 digits.
Re-Enter the New Master Password Then Press 8
The
keypad will give two short beeps indicating the master password has
been changed. Confirm the new master password by typing in the new
master password followed by 9, you should hear two short beeps.
Example
The new master password in this example will be "24680"

After each key
press you must move quickly to the next. If you wait too long before the
next key press, the keypad will exit programming mode and you will need
to start over. We recommend writing down the example below using your
own values before beginning the process. This will help you do the
process quickly, ensuring the keypad doesn't time out and exit
programming.
